Baosteel Co., Ltd maintained momentum in intellectual property rights (IPR) work in 2007 with as much as 800 patent applications, of which 350 were patents for invention and 100 for products, and 424 patent awards, of which 59 were patents for invention, making it the best year for IPR in the history of the company. Under the guide of The Development Guideline of Baosteel Technology Innovation System, last year the company got much progress in creative R & D, technical integration and continuous improvement with 378, 40 and 286 patents in these three aspects respectively.
