NMDC stocks up by 3.3% after it fixes iron ore prices

NMDC Limited informed the exchanges, a government of India enterphrise, as fixed the price of lump iron ore at Rs 2,225 per wet metric tonnes and that of the fines at Rs 1,985 per wet metric tonne. The new prices would come into effect from January 3, 2017.

NMDC Ltd is currently trading at Rs 134.65, up by Rs 4.4 or 3.38% from its previous closing of Rs 130.25 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 131.9 and has touched a high and low of Rs 137.45 and Rs 131.25 respectively. So far 7103164(NSE+BSE) shares were traded on the counter. The current market cap of the company is Rs 41209.67 crore.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 142.65 on 02-Nov-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs 75.2 on 12-Feb-2016. Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 130.9 and Rs 120.65 respectively.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 74.94 % while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 21.76 % and 3.3 % respectively.

The stock is currently trading above its 50 DMA.
