
Heavy transport firm Express Global Logistics, or EXG, has delivered a cargo of fabricated steel structures from the port of Mumbai port to a project site in Jambusar in the Gujarat region of India.
The consignment weighed 12,000 freight tonnes and was delivered on behalf of a large Chinese EPC company. EXG managed all port handling and custom clearance for the journey of 450 kilometers.
The heaviest component weighed 42 tonnes and the longest measured 24.5 meters long. In total 140 trailers were used, including long body, low bed, semi-low bed, flat-bed designs.
The Project Cargo Network, or PCN, reports that fellow members Titan and Ekin also completed recent breakbulk moves.
Italian firm Titan Project & Logistic completed delivery of a Hitachi 450 Excavator to Vietnam. The cargo was collected from Milan and was shipped in two 40-foot, high-cube containers.
